ELPC Action Fund’s Ad Campaign:
“Watch What Pres. Trump Does, Not What He Says”
for Protecting Safe Clean Water in Wisconsin’s Driftless Area
Iowa County, WI —The Environmental Law & Policy Center Action Fund has launched a multi-week public education campaign with print ads throughout Southwest Wisconsin’s home-town newspapers and online calling on President Trump to back up his words with actions when it comes to protecting safe clean drinking water, and our local rivers, lakes, marshes and streams. The print ad campaign “Watch What President Trump Does, Not What He Says” is running in media throughout Southwest Wisconsin’s scenic Driftless Area small towns, family farms and rural communities.
“The Driftless Area in Southwest Wisconsin is a special place where we live, work and play,” said Howard Learner, Executive Director of the Environmental Law & Policy Center Action Fund. “People in the Driftless Area care deeply about protecting safe clean drinking water, and we enjoy canoeing, fishing, swimming and watching wildlife in clean rivers, lakes, marshes and streams. We worry about contaminated drinking water wells. We spend time outdoors working and playing. Recent polling shows that water issues are top of mind issues for voters.”
“The Trump Administration’s track record includes rolling back regulations designed to protect safe, clean water and weakening Clean Water Act enforcement. As President Trump and EPA Administrator Wheeler make their many pre-election visits and speeches around Wisconsin and the Midwest, let’s ask about what President Trump is doing, not just what he’s saying,” said Learner.
The Environmental Law & Policy Center Action Fund’s first full-page ads appeared over the past week and will run through late August.
